Welcome to Baroque Pearl Jewellers. By accessing this website and purchasing our jewelry, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to protect the integrity of our artisan process and ensure a transparent relationship with our collectors.
1. Artisan Craftsmanship & Variations
Every piece of jewelry is handcrafted directly from the bench in Victoria, BC.
- Unique Character: Because our pieces feature a “vintage soul” and manual techniques (such as hand-hammering), slight variations in texture, shape, and finish are to be expected. These are not flaws but signs of authentic artisan quality.
- Natural Materials: Variations in gemstones, pearls, or organic textures are inherent to the materials used. No two pieces are exactly alike.
2. Materials & Care
- Quality Standards: We use premium materials, including 14k Gold Fill, Solid Gold, and Sterling Silver.
- Customer Responsibility: Proper care is essential for the longevity of your jewelry. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper storage, exposure to harsh chemicals (chlorine, perfumes, or cleaning agents), or normal wear and tear.
3. Pricing & Precious Metal Market Policy
- Market-Based Pricing: Our fees are based on the current market value of precious metals. Due to the fluctuating nature of the gold market, prices on this website are subject to change without notice to reflect the “spot price” of the day.
- Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to update pricing at any time. If a significant market shift occurs after an order is placed but before it has been processed, we will notify you via email to confirm the updated fee before proceeding with your piece.
- Custom Quotes: Quotes for custom bench-crafted commissions are valid for 14 days. After this window, quotes may be subject to re-evaluation based on current metal costs.
- Currency & Taxes: All prices are in CAD unless otherwise specified. Applicable GST/HST will be calculated at checkout based on your shipping destination.
4. Shipping & Production
- Processing Time: As many items are made-to-order at the bench, please allow 7-14 days business days for production before your order is dispatched.
- Delivery: We ship across Canada. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or customs clearance for international orders.
5. Returns & Exchanges
- Handmade Policy: Due to the bespoke nature of our jewelry, returns are accepted within 30 days for store credit or exchange only, provided the item is in its original, unworn condition.
- Exclusions: For hygiene reasons, Personalized engravings, and bespoke commissions are also non-returnable.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including jewelry designs, photography, brand taglines “Vintage Soul Reimagined,” and written descriptions, is the intellectual property of Baroque Pearl Jewellers. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or “copying” of designs is strictly prohibited.
7. Limitation of Liability
Baroque Peal Jewellers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products or website. Our liability is limited strictly to the purchase price of the item in question.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada.
